Prerequisites:

You should complete:

• IBM Tivoli Infrastructure 4.1 (TM160)

and possess the following skills:

• Senior system administrator level knowledge on the following operating systems:
• - UNIX servers: (preferably on Solaris 2.x, or SunOS, AIX, or HP-UX)
• - Windows servers: NT, 2000 Server, or XP
• Knowledge of windowing software operation on the following platforms:
• - UNIX: X-windows, including Openlook, Motif, and Common Desktop Environment (CDE)
• - Microsoft (MS) Windows: Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP
• Working knowledge of networking terms and concepts (Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), router, and hub)
• Basic operation and understanding of the Tivoli Management Environment, including:
• - Security roles, desktop, tasks, jobs, and scheduler
• - Function of Policy Regions and methods for using them
• - Functions provided by Tivoli Profile Managers and how to effectively use them
• - Use of profiles and how they relate to the Tivoli applications
