This course teaches the student how to perform the technical, day-to-day tasks of administering Oracle Content Services. The students learn how to manage Sites including monitoring the Oracle Content Services processes and configuration settings. Students also learn the how to administer and assign the key administrative roles within Content Services and apply them to the site, library, container, and folder levels. Other key tasks include deploying different protocols that use Content Services, setting up the antivirus software, and configuring data aging and archiving.
Additional hands-on experience for the student includes setting up Records Management and registering a customized BPEL workflow. Taking all of the components together, the student learns how to monitor the performance of the overall system, locate and evaluate different log files, and run statistics on system performance. In addition, troubleshooting techniques are covered for issues that may fall under administration, protocols, performance, and workflow.
