The student learns to maintain a production environment - for example starting and stopping Content DB processes, maintaining and managing administrative roles and managing site parameters. The class focuses on system administration tasks that need to be preformed on a regular basis without going into details about the implementation of a production system.
The student will gain hands-on experience with creating new services and servers that work with Content DB. The student also learn tasks involving working with Records DB, managing the different protocols that work with Content DB, understanding workflows, perform tuning and performance tasks and troubleshoot common issues. The student will gain an overall understanding of how Content DB integrates with Oracle technologies and the architecture components that are included within the Content DB product.
