Description:
In just four days, you'll learn the concepts and techniques required to use the Telelogic Rhapsody Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) product to solve complex system engineering problems. Rhapsody's executable and graphical modeling capabilities are a proven solution to easing modeling and requirements validation burdens found in traditional system analysis and design efforts. By using hands-on exercises and creating real world applications, participants forge a strong Rhapsody foundation and learn system analysis and design capabilities using DoDAF.
Audience:
Project Managers and Technical Leads, Software Engineers, System Engineers and anyone involved in the specification and architectural analysis and design of real-time systems using the Department of Defense Architecture Framework domain language
Objectives:
- Define DoDAF viewpoints and build diagrams
- Learn the Rhapsody DoDAF product in the context of a system engineering process flow
- Optimize model organization for collaboration across system engineering teams
- Automatically produce DoDAF documentation, including the creation of the 'derived' architecture products
- Validate system level architectural requirements
Prerequisites:
Knowledge of UML and DoDAF is helpful, but not required, since an overview of the elements primarily applicableto software engineering are taught. Knowledge of system engineering concepts and process is assumed.
