Traditionally, ISPs and large Enterprise networks have used overlay or peer-to-peer models to implement Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) VPNs provide the benefits of both the overlay and peer-to-peer models without their inherent detriments. In this course, you'll learn to implement, deploy, and troubleshoot MPLS VPNs in a variety of large-scale network scenarios.
Maximize your experience by learning to build the MPLS VPN network using a building-block approach. Begin by building and scaling intranet and extranet MPLS VPN networks, then add Internet access to the VPNs using several commonly encountered methods. Migrate those complex networks into multiple Autonomous Systems (AS) where you'll implement Inter-AS VPNs and Carrier Supporting Carrier VPNs. As each technology scenario is introduced and implemented, a heavy focus is placed on troubleshooting and correcting real-world problems. Finally, you will troubleshoot connectivity and transport problems the instructor inserts into the network.
Note: You are required to bring your own laptop and Ethernet cable to class.

Audience:
This course is intended for individuals who deploy MPLS VPN networks and individuals who design Service Provider or large Enterprise networks that include MPLS VPN services.
Objectives:
- Methods of deploying MPLS VPNs in a variety of network scenarios
- The best MPLS VPN method to implement for a given network scenario
- Implement the chosen MPLS VPN solution and verify that it is functioning as intended
- Identify and troubleshoot frequently encountered MPLS VPN problems in each implemented scenario
