Overview:

Learn the fundamentals of logical data modeling using the international standard IDEF1X notation. Through demonstrations, discussions and hands-on exercises you will gain experience capturing information requirements and developing databases and business applications that meet the specific needs of your organization. You also will acquire the background you need to begin learning about and using software data modeling tools effectively.

Apply normalization techniques to minimize redundancy, conserve storage and ensure that the right information is in the right place.
Produce key deliverables-including a simple Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), a Key-Based Data Model (KBDM) and a complete Fully Attributed Data Model (FADM).
