BMC Identity Management: Administering – Part 1

This course provides instruction in the setup, implementation, and customization options of the Enterprise SecurityStation (ESS) graphical user interface (GUI).

Description:

New Users - This course is an introductory course designed to teach basic concepts and familiarize the student with the functionality of the product.
 
Course Abstract:
 This course provides instruction in the setup, implementation, and customization options of the Enterprise SecurityStation (ESS)graphical user Interface (GUI)

It is designed to provide the skills necessary for users of this product to complete tasks necessary to perform user administration. In addition, some of the material in this course covers activities necessary to support those persons performing these tasks, such as building templates and establishing security rules. This course also introduces the use of a related product in the BMC Identity Management Suite, BMC Web Access Manager. Hands-on labs allow the participants to experience and experiment with the concepts presented in the class.

# Use the Enterprise SecurityStation window and various entity windows
# Create and maintain Enterprise SecurityStation entities
# Create and maintain entity connections and hierarchies
# Describe Enterprise SecurityStation transactions and the audit facility
# Download and maintain RSS data
# Describe Enterprise SecurityStation AutoEdit concepts
# Build templates
# Use templates to create entities and entity connections
# Create and implement security rules
# Describe the purpose and function of BMC Web Access manager
# Use BMC Web Manager to control access to Web resources
