Description:

Target Audience:
Advanced Users - This course is designed for the product's power user who has 2 + years of experience in a production environment.

Course Abstract:
This class includes the configuration and implementation of two related BMC Identity Management Suite 5.5 components, Corporate Directory Manager (CDM) and Request Manager. First, you will install CDM and use the CDM Console to configure the application, set up email services, perform URL mapping, define SSL properties, and integrate CDM with the Eclipse framework IDE interface. Next, you will learn about the functionality and architecture of Request Manager. The Request Manager component allows you to design and initiate workflows that automate the approval of actions such as user provisioning. You will learn about workflow-related concepts such as processes, tasks, actors, roles, process state transition, task state transition, splits, and convergences.

CDM Studio is an interface for designing and customizing business process workflows. In this class, you will learn how to use CDM Studio to view and modify standard forms, and to create new accessibility forms that define the properties of workflows. Next, you will learn how to migrate a CDM installation from v5.0 to v5.5, including the export of v5.0 applications, and the import of these applications into v5.5. The course concludes with advanced topics related to the CDM Console, workflow design, and advanced roles.
