Course Abstract:
 This course encompasses the BMC Identity Management Suite v5.5 core components: the Suite 5.5 interface, User Administration Manager, Password Manager, and Compliance Manager. In addition to gaining experience with the installation and configuration of core components, you will learn about Suite 5.5 architecture and the relationships between various components.

The first day provides an overview of Suite 5.5, highlighting new features incorporated into this version. You will install and configure Suite 5.5 on a VMware image, and then connect the Suite 5.5 interface to a BMC Enterprise SecurityStation (ESS) server. The course continues with the configuration and the Password Manager component and customization of its look and feel. Next, you will use the User Administration Manager interface to perform user management actions. The capabilities of User Administration Manager will be compared to the ESS GUI.

Compliance Manager has been significantly enhanced in Suite 5.5. This course provides comprehensive hands-on training in the configuration and functionality of Compliance Manager. General topics include installation and configuration, connection to external audit sources, defining roles, policies, exceptions, and responsive actions.
