Course Abstract:
This course is an introductory course designed to teach basic concepts and familiarize the student with the functionality of the product. The course is for IT professionals who are responsible for using BMC CONTROL-M products to monitor and manage a production environment.

This course covers product usage of BMC CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager and BMC CONTROL-M/Desktop. The course introduces basic concepts and familiarizes the student with the functionality of the BMC CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager (BMC CONTROL-M/EM) product for Microsoft Windows. BMC CONTROL-M/EM is a monitoring and management tool for the enterprise production environment. It allows users to manage job processing across all platforms supported by BMC CONTROL-M and BMC CONTROL-M agents. Much of the course covers the creation of job processing definitions using the companion product BMC CONTROL-M/Desktop, and then using the BMC CONTROL-M/EM interface to view and monitor these jobs.

Hands-on labs allow the participants to experience and experiment with the concepts presented in the class.
