BMC CONTROL-M 6.3: What's New

Overview:

This course is designed to provide students insight into the many enhancements included in version 6.3.01 of CONTROL-M/EM, CONTROL-M/Server, CONTROL-M/Agent, and various add-on products in the CONTROL-M product line. Hands-on exercises are included for sections of the class that relate to the CONTROL-M user interface.

 New Users - This course is an introductory course designed to teach basic concepts and familiarize the student with the functionality of the product.
 
Course Abstract:
 This course is designed to provide students insight into the many enhancements included in version 6.3.01 of CONTROL-M/EM, CONTROL-M/Server, CONTROL-M/Agent, and various add-on products in the CONTROL-M product line. Course Objectives

# Describe the purpose and function of the CONTROL-M Configuration Manager (a replacement for the CONTROL-M Administration Facility.
# Manage CONTROL-M/EM components, CONTROL-M/Servers, and CONTROL-M/Agents using the Configuration Manager.
# Describe the purpose, function, and architecture of agentless remote execution.
# Describe CONTROL-M/EM 6.3.01 User Interface enhancements.
# Create, manage, schedule and order jobs and Scheduling tables using CONTROL-M/Desktop 6.3.01.
# Describe the purpose, function, and architecture of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) integration with the distributed CONTROL-M.
# Describe the purpose and methodology of CONTROL-M workload analysis.
# Generate Workload and Batch Impact Manager (BIM) Reports.
# Describe and implement CONTROL-M and CONTROL-M/EM v. 6.3 security enhancements.
# Describe the purpose and function of the various components of the BMC® CONTROL-M Business Process Integration Suite.
 
Required Knowledge:
 Familiarity with CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager and other distributed systems CONTROL-M products.
