ALBPM Foundations is the first course in the Business Process Management (BPM) curriculum and is the prerequisite for all courses. In this hands-on course, students learn about Business Process Management and the ALBPM product suite, BEA's integrated solution for creating, executing and optimizing business processes. In the context of BPM, students learn what BPM is, what a business process is, the lifecycle for modeling and implementing a business process and techniques for measuring and analyzing running business processes. In the context of the ALBPM product suite, students learn the purpose of each component of the suite, how each component is used and about other products in the AquaLogic product family that can be used to plug automated business processes into an enterprise Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
